Cards come in four types: Basic, Cloze, Quiz, and Sequence. Obsidian renders the card content, so the formatting you wrote carries over.

Change a note, and its cards are flagged.
A card can point to the note it came from. Change that note, and the card is flagged stale so you can fix what changed before the next review.
